Role purpose

• Plan and direct aspects of the Business Development policies, objectives, and initiatives of the diverse activities of a thriving and growing African Region for Worley and their JV partner, JESA.
• Increase the market share for Worley and JESA in sectors across MMM, Resources, Power, New Energy and the Energy Transition space.
• Develop new market initiatives, assess new markets, and analyse business opportunities.
• Conduct financial feasibility studies and develop proposals for new business opportunities and partnerships, including expanding our geographic footprint in the region.
• Negotiate contracts, initiate proposals, and close deals.
• Drive overall direction and strategic initiatives for the sector, function or business segment.
• Develop business plans, implement strategies and identify resource needs.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance around tactical decisions.
• Lead the execution of strategy and participate in Regional Strategic development.

      You’ll be

• A proven Business Developer with a track record of delivering new business within the Energy Transition sectors.
• An effective communicator with proven ability in presenting complex proposals and reports to executive-level management and/or the Board.
• Able to demonstrate an emphasis on lead generation and effective pipeline management to achieve significant income growth within the region.
• Adept at managing regional teams, and other departments, to provide overall Strategic Direction for Business Development activities, including sector penetration.
• Experienced in managing the complexities of Partnerships and JVs.
• Skilled in identifying and building relationships with key stakeholders who can amplify Business Development activities.
• Practised in project and business financial reporting with the ability to present, interpret and integrate data sets.

You’ll bring

• The ability to lead and actively participate in contractual negotiations, underpinned by demonstrated previous experience.
• Proven skills in assessing potential contractual and commercial exposure to Worley and JESA in the event of project performance issues.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of project and business cost base and basis for project gross margin and business profit.
• The ability to present detailed propositions to new and existing customers which result in long-term retained parentships.
• An entrepreneurial and innovative outlook that inspires and motivates those around you.
• Strong Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills and a genuine desire to develop people.
• 10 to 15 years experience in roles that have led to, or supported, business growth
