Duties and Responsibilities:
- The solar engineer is responsible for providing innovative and comprehensive solutions in design engineering for commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects.
- The solar engineer works in a collaborative, team- based environment. Under the overall coordination and supervision of the management, the solar engineer will be expected to carry out the following tasks:
- Conduct engineering site assessments to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of residential or commercial solar power systems.
- Create plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation activities to offer best solution for each project.
- Installation of solar energy systems.
- Ensure availability & functionality of all safety features on the machine & follow safety instructions.
- Reviewing and assessing solar construction documentation.
- Tracking and monitoring project documentation.
- Evaluating construction issues.
- Meeting with other engineers, developers, and investors to present and review project. Plans and specifications.
- Participating in industry forums. Competencies
- Ensure availability & functionality of all safety features on the machine & follow safety instructions.
- Addressing & fixing all machine breakdowns to ensure machine efficiency & product quality.
- Focus on improving & maintaining machine efficiency - Coordinating machine operation requirements to ensure efficient performance, material usage & time management.
- Follow up with team members to maintain a clean & safe work environment.
- Proper handover between shifts & daily logging of machine breakdowns in addition to identifying & ordering all relevant spare parts on MIS.
- must have a certificate from the Sudanese Council with the rank of a specialist engineer in the relevant field
- Knowledge of a range of engineering concepts (such as site assessment, analysis, design, and energy optimization).
- Good command of written and spoken English. - Must have good skills in writing, drafting, structuring of information and graphical representation of complex data.
- Candidates should demonstrate solid teamwork, planning, organizing, professionalism, and communications skills
Job Requirement:
- Full knowledge of Classic Control (will be tested).
- Full knowledge of Solar Energy Systems (will be tested).
- Full knowledge of PLC circuits (will be tested).
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (will be tested).
