• Vital Signs Assessment: Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature, to assist in the evaluation of their cardiovascular health.
• Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for cardiology-specific diagnostic procedures such as Electrocardiograms (ECGs), Stress Tests, and Echocardiograms (Echo).
• Specimen Collection: Perform venipuncture to collect blood samples as prescribed by the cardiologist. Efficiently label, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
• Log Books and Data Management: Maintain detailed log books and data sheets for all cardiology procedures. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation that adheres to both internal protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Tracking Laboratory Tests: Monitor and track the status of pending blood tests, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting of results to the cardiologist for further assessment.
• Medication and IV Management: Keep an accurate record of pending medications and intravenous therapies, coordinating with the pharmacy and nursing staff to ensure prompt delivery and administration.
• Patient File Organization: Organize and manage patient files, ensuring that all documentation is complete, accurate, and securely stored. Upload all diagnostic reports, clinical notes, and other relevant documents to the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with other healthcare team members, including laboratory technicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff, to facilitate comprehensive cardiac care.

Skills

• DHA Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in a cardiology department or similar setting preferred.
