As a nursing circulator, will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Working closely with the surgical team, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the smooth flow of activities within the operating room (OR). Your primary duties will include:

• Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
• Conducting pre-operative assessments of patients, verifying patient identity, surgical site, and procedure to be performed.
• Collaborating with the surgical team to create and maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Assisting surgeons and scrub nurses during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitoring patient vital signs, anesthesia administration, and overall patient comfort and safety during the surgical procedure.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in perioperative nursing, with specific experience in circulating roles preferred.
• Proficiency in sterile techniques, and operating room protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
