Position: Journalist Type: Hourly contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities Research, pitch, and develop original news stories and feature articles. Conduct interviews and verify information using reliable sources. Write clear, accurate, and engaging content for diverse audiences. Edit and proofread content to ensure quality and consistency. Collaborate with editors and team members to enhance storytelling. Monitor current events and trends relevant to assigned topics. Uphold journalistic ethics and maintain accuracy and integrity.
Requirements Strong experience in journalism with a portfolio of published work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research, interviewing, and fact-checking abilities. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Strong critical thinking and attention to detail. Understanding of media law, ethics, and editorial standards. Familiarity with digital tools for content creation and collaboration.
