field-based staff to develop concept papers and prepare proposals (including logical frameworks, draft budgets, budget narratives, monitoring and evaluation plans) for major government, private and multi-lateral donors for the 3 states small groups and community health interventions. </p><p>• Support in project manager in development and or review of Health and Nutrition sector-based strategy for Community health and small groups in collaboration with the sector field-based staff and partners and SMoH. </p><p>• Prepare sector-based monthly, quarterly and annual operating plan and reports for WV Sudan, donors, State/Federal HAC on small groups and community health. </p><p>• Discussions, agreements and facilitation of signing technical agreements with relevant Line Ministries </p><p>• Prepare partners’ sub-grants agreements, M&E plan, work plan, DIP (Detailed Implementation Plan, Procurement plan and cash flow) with in the locality of choice</p><p> </p><p><strong>2.Monitoring & Evaluations & reporting </strong></p><p>• Support timely and accurate internal and external WASH reporting, including weekly updates, monthly reports, quarterly reports, SitReps, annual reports, HAC bi-annual and annual reports. </p><p>• Participate in baseline surveys, needs assessments, monitoring visits, inspections, and project evaluations to track progress, quality, impact, and donor compliance. </p><p>• Monitor the implementation and quality of WASH activities, identify gaps and challenges, and provide timely updates and recommendations to the Project Project Coordinator and Base Manager </p><p>• Work closely with the M&E team, project staff, partners, and relevant sectors to strengthen planning, monitoring, data collection, documentation, and joint reporting processes. evidence required to develop competitive and winnable proposals. </p><p>• Mobilize communities to contribute to project interventions, including labour, local materials, operation and maintenance support, and other agreed community contributions.</p><p> </p><p><strong>4.Advocacy, Engagement, Networking & Partnerships </strong></p><p>• Support coordination with MoH, UNICEF, WES, government departments, UN agencies, and sector partners to ensure quality implementation, alignment, and effective collaboration in WASH activities. </p><p>• Represent the project in relevant WASH coordination meetings, cluster meetings, field assessments, and partner engagements as assigned by the Project Coordinator or State WASH Coordinator, and share key updates for follow-up action.</p><p> </p><p><strong>5.Capacity building </strong></p><p>• Build the capacity of WASH committees, community volunteers, key project staff, and NNGO partners on the management, operation, and maintenance of WASH facilities, including water chlorination, hygiene promotion, and basic facility monitoring. </p><p>• Support training and coaching of partners and community structures in the implementation of WASH and construction activities to ensure quality, sustainability, and compliance with project standards.</p><p><strong>1.Required Professional Experience</strong></p><ul><li> At least 5 years of field-based experience in H&N implementation, with a strong H&N project implementation background and experience working in conflict-prone or fragile contexts. </li><li> Proficiency in project planning, staff training, supportive supervision, report writing and local partner engagement. </li><li> Practical experience in implementing H&N project models, including nutrition promotion, The role supports preparation of designs, BoQs, specifications, tender documents, and site supervision to ensure quality delivery. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)<br>Ensure implementation of project monitoring and evaluation systems.<br>Track project indicators and measure progress against targets.<br>Review project data and ensure accuracy and quality of reporting.<br>Promote accountability mechanisms and beneficiary feedback systems.<br>Capture lessons learned and best practices for future programming.<br>5. Team Management and Capacity Building<br>Lead and supervise project staff and consultants.<br>Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.<br>Build team capacity and promote professional development.<br>Foster teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.<br>6. Reporting and Documentation<br>Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, interim, and final donor reports.<br>Ensure timely submission of narrative reports to UNDP and Human Appeal management.<br>Maintain accurate project records, files, and documentation.<br>Develop project success stories, case studies, presentations, and visibility materials.<br>7. Procurement and Logistics Oversight<br>Coordinate procurement planning and implementation.<br>Ensure procurement processes comply with Human Appeal and donor requirements.<br>Monitor project assets, inventory management, and equipment utilization.<br>Ensure timely delivery of goods, services, and works.<br>8. Risk Management and Compliance<br>Identify programmatic, operational, financial, and security risks.<br>Develop mitigation measures and monitor risk management plans.<br>Ensure compliance with safeguarding, fraud prevention, accountability, and protection policies.<br>Support project audits, evaluations, and monitoring missions.</p><h4>Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required</h4><p>Master’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Social Sciences, Economics, International Development, Agriculture, Rural Development, or a related field.<br>A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with substantial and progressively responsible professional experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.<br>Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an added advantage.<br>Experience<br>Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in managing humanitarian, recovery, resilience, or development projects.<br>Demonstrated experience in implementing Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), livelihoods recovery, resilience-building, economic empowerment, agriculture, cash-based interventions, or community development projects funded by UN agencies or international donors.<br>Proven experience managing donor-funded projects, particularly those funded by UNDP, UN agencies, or other institutional donors.<br>Experience working with government ministries, HAC, local authorities, community structures, and vulnerable populations, including IDPs, returnees, and host communities.<br>Strong experience in project cycle management, grants management, donor reporting, budget oversight, and team leadership.<br>Skills and Competencies<br>Strong project cycle management skills.<br>Excellent leadership and team management abilities.<br>Strong budget management and financial monitoring skills.<br>Excellent report writing and communication skills in English.<br>Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.<br>Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.<br>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).<br>Languages<br>Fluency in English (written and spoken).<br>Fluency in Arabic is required.<br>Core Competencies<br>Leadership and Strategic Thinking<br>Results-Based Management<br>Partnership Building<br>Planning and Organizing<br>Accountability and Integrity<br>Problem Solving and Decision Making<br>Communication and Negotiation<br>Teamwork and Collaboration<br>Adaptability and Resilience<br>Expected Deliverables<br>Timely and successful implementation of project activities.<br>Achievement of project indicators and targets.<br>Full compliance with UNDP and Human Appeal requirements.<br>Quality and timely donor reporting.<br>Effective stakeholder coordination and engagement.<br>Efficient budget utilization and grant management.<br>Sustainable project outcomes and strengthened community resilience.<br> </p>
