Reporting directly to the Regional Programme Manager, the Country Coordinator will be responsible for the strategic leadership, programme coordination, and operational management of SIHA?s work in Sudan. The role includes ensuring high-quality project implementation, maintaining accountability to donors and communities, leading staff and managing resources, and strengthening SIHA?s feminist movement-building, visibility, and advocacy for women?s rights and gender justice in Sudan. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Roles and Responsibilities</strong> </p><p><strong>1. Strategy, Business & Programme Development</strong> </p><ul><li>Lead the design and implementation of SIHA?s Sudan strategy, ensuring alignment with SIHA?s regional objectives and strategic plan. </li><li>Develop annual country work plans and budgets, ensuring strategic and impactful use of resources. </li><li>Support programme design, fundraising initiatives, and new project development in collaboration with the Regional Programme Unit. </li><li>Contribute to SIHA?s triennial strategic planning with contextual insights from Sudan. </li></ul><p><strong>2. Programme Implementation & Coordination</strong> </p><ul><li>Oversee effective delivery of all project activities in Sudan, ensuring compliance with SIHA, donor, and statutory requirements. </li><li>Ensure robust project monitoring, accountability, and learning mechanisms are in place, including data-driven decision-making and documentation of impact. </li><li>Conduct regular field visits to review progress, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of outputs and outcomes. </li><li>Provide technical support and guidance to the Sudan project teams to enhance programme quality. </li><li>Develop and ensure timely submission of reports (programme and financial) in line with donor and SIHA requirements. </li></ul><p><strong>3. Strategic Representation & Advocacy</strong> </p><ul><li>Act as SIHA?s primary representative in Sudan, cultivating strong relationships with government stakeholders, civil society, donors, and advocacy coalitions advancing feminist agendas and women?s rights. </li><li>Collaborate with SIHA?s Advocacy and Communications teams to amplify programmatic achievements and highlight emerging issues affecting women in Sudan. </li><li>Represent SIHA in national, regional, and international forums, coordination platforms, and advocacy coalitions. </li></ul><p><strong>4. Against a background of political crisis, Sudan faces economic and social turmoil, with sharp increases in food and energy costs, further exacerbated by disease outbreaks and ongoing conflict.</p><p> </p><p><strong>POSITION PROFILE</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Overall purpose of the role</strong>:</p><p> </p><figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td>The Human Resources and Administration Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of all HR & administration functions in DRC premises and to support the SSM to carry out its mission in Central Darfur area office to proper handling of HR tasks. </td></tr></tbody></table></figure><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><p> Responsibilities: (in bullet points) </p><ul><li>Support in national staff recruitment process for the Central Darfur Area office (CD AO), ensuring recruitment is done within specified time limits, in accordance with DRC standards. </li><li>Brief hiring managers on the recruitment processes; filling in necessary forms and tools for hiring process (including interview questionnaires). </li><li>Arrange and conduct timely induction and orientation sessions of code of Conduct Training and PSEA for all new national staff for Central Darfur area office. </li><li>Ensure staff database are up to date on Dynamics for CD AO staff. </li><li>Ensure all records of HR related information (HR database, leave and documents for personnel files, including interview records) are sent on timely basis by Managers and staffs. </li><li>Ensure monthly payroll and payroll reconciliation for CD AO are prepared and submitted on time with accurate information. </li><li>In collaboration with HR department in the country office, launch PADA process for national staff in CD AO by conducting training, monitoring quality and submission rates, providing feedback, conducting analysis of development and training needs, and assisting support all Managers in </li><li>conducting annual Performance Reviews and on-going Performance Management. </li><li>Register and revise all data for newly hired staff on National staff Payroll system and perform all duties related to contract management for CAO </li><li>Supporting CD AO staff with social security form to follow up with the SS Department. </li><li>Representing as Health Insurance focal point of CD AO by updating database, submitting monthly updates (addition, deletion) to the CO and following up with the company representative. </li><li>Support on other tasks when required and any other related tasks assigned by the line manager. </li></ul><p> </p><p>Administration</p><ul><li>Manage and track all utilities payments for CD AO office and GH, and center through the implemented tracking system and ensure timely delivery </li></ul><p> </p><p>of service and payments. </p><ul><li>Support expats to arrange their accommodation at CAO GH and ensure all rooms & Caravans are prepared well to host them </li><li>Managing maintenance of DRC Nertiti office/ GH and Centers (power, water, AC, fire equipment etc.) by allocation handyman on time. </li><li>Supporting internal and external auditing by presenting staff documents from CD AO. </li><li>Manage rental premises payments of Nertiti Office/GH and centers in close collaboration with base manager. </li><li>Manage the DRC’s staff mobile phone lines, including issuance, cancelling of SIM Cards and settling phone bills payments </li><li>Manage Cook & cleaners’ schedule and ensure office & GH cleaning is maintained properly. Also, ensure Expats’ accommodation is prepared decently. </li><li>Managing consumables, supplies, and stationaries by storing them properly in the admin store and tracking them through the admin tracker. Supplies must be distributed and monitored on weekly basis to ensure items are utilized appropriately.
