IT Infrastructure & Systems Management</h4><ul><li>Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, servers, and peripherals at the Khartoum HQ and, where applicable, field/sub-offices.</li><li>Manage local area networks (LAN), wireless networks, and internet connectivity, including VSAT, fiber, and mobile data solutions where applicable.</li><li>Maintain and monitor data backup systems, cloud storage, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard organizational data.</li><li>Ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of IT issues for staff, minimizing downtime.</li><li>Manage user accounts, email systems, and access permissions (e.g., Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration).</li><li>Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, licenses, and warranties; coordinate procurement and maintenance of IT assets.</li></ul><h4>B. Cybersecurity & Data Protection</h4><ul><li>Implement and enforce IT security policies, including antivirus, firewall, password protocols, and data protection standards.</li><li>Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond promptly to security incidents.</li><li>Ensure compliance with organizational data protection policies and applicable Sudanese regulations regarding data and telecommunications.</li><li>Train staff on cybersecurity awareness, safe data practices, and acceptable use of IT resources.</li></ul><h4>C. Communications & Visibility</h4><ul><li>Support internal communication systems (intranet, mailing lists, collaboration platforms) to ensure effective information flow across departments and offices.</li><li>Assist in developing and maintaining external communication materials (website content, social media, newsletters, fact sheets) in line with organizational branding and donor visibility guidelines.</li><li>Support documentation of project activities (photos, videos, success stories) for reporting and visibility purposes, respecting beneficiary consent and protection protocols.</li><li>Liaise with communications focal points at country and regional/global level to ensure consistent messaging.</li></ul><h4>D. Remote & Field Support</h4><ul><li>Provide remote and on-site IT support to field offices/sub-offices across Sudan, including during field missions as required.</li><li>Support connectivity solutions for staff working in hard-to-reach or insecure areas, in coordination with logistics and security teams.</li><li>Contribute to business continuity and contingency planning for IT/communications in the context of access constraints, power outages, or connectivity disruptions common in the operating environment.</li></ul><h4>E. Capacity Building & Support</h4><ul><li>Provide training and user support to staff on standard software, hardware use, and communication tools.</li><li>Develop and update simple IT/communication guidance notes and SOPs for staff use.</li><li>Support onboarding of new staff with IT equipment setup and orientation.</li><li>Developing and maintaining website.</li></ul><h4>F. Other</h4><ul><li>Represent the organization in relevant IT/communications coordination forums as required.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, consistent with the scope of the role.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required</h4><h4>Education</h4><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Communications, or a related field.
