<p>Vacancy No: 1223<br>Section/Unit: Food Security and Livelihood Department<br>Supervisor: Food Security and Livelihood Manager<br>No. of Post: 1<br>Duty Station: Central Darfur - Nertiti Office<br>Duration: 11 Months with Three (03) Months Probation Period, (Renewable Subject to Funding and Performance)<br>Closing Date: 19 Sept 2026</p><h4>Background</h4><p>To support the implementation of Food Security and Livelihood (including Cash, DRR / DRM) projects in refugee, IDP and host communities to the Local partner at state level and coordination with the nutrition and health, WaSH, and mental health care practices gender protection sectors.</p><p>To monitor, and support the implementation of Food Security and Livelihood (including Cash, provision of farming and livestock inputs, agriculture good practices, food processing, demonstration events, and DRR / DRM) project activities.</p><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><p><strong>Objective 1: Implementation of FSL activities including emergencies. Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Ensure implementation of FSL (Food, Agriculture inputs and kits) activities under the guidance of the PM\FSL Manager according to the work plan developed by the PM.</li><li>Participate in the development of project follow-up and supervision tools and apply the project’s follow-up and supervision tools</li><li>Supervise the beneficiary’s selection process and participate in the selection process.</li><li>Assist FSL Manager \ PM in the establishment of a beneficiary’s database system.</li><li>Identify and inform the FSL Manager \ PM of any problems or constraints.</li><li>Propose solutions or improvements for the smooth running of the Project.</li><li>Follow up on the implementation and report to line Manager .</li></ul><p><strong>Objective 2 : Project activities monitoring and Reporting:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in organizing and conducting baseline & end line surveys, PDM.</li><li>Regular monitoring and follow-up of the Project’s progress.</li><li>Assist FSL PM in writing relevant reports (APR, donor report, monitoring report, Case Story etc.).</li></ul><p><strong>Objective 3 : Participate in need assessments and surveys when necessary :</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Participate in food security Rapid need assessments and surveys when needed</li><li>Participate in emergency food security response if any kind of disaster occurred </li><li><strong>Line Manger can assign any additional tasks not listed above .</strong></li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required</h4><ul><li>Masters/Bachelor in Agricultural Science in general and /or, experience in the field of Food Security and livelihood (including DRM) and /or a similar relevant field in particular.</li><li>Good knowledge on FSL systems and techniques, capacity to work with a local partner, good relational qualities and flexibility. Good knowledge on implementing projects, training, facilitation skills and good knowledge on program monitoring. Good knowledge on Value chain and PRAM and PVCA/PLA methods.</li><li>Proven professional experience in Food Security and Livelihoods projects /programs implementation, monitoring-follow-up & evaluation preferably with an international NGO for at least 2-3 years, proven professional experience in Project Cycle Management. </li><li>Proven working experience in partnership with a local partner: 1-2 years minimum Experienced in Community based approach would be added advantage. Against a background of political crisis, Sudan faces economic and social turmoil, with sharp increases in food and energy costs, further exacerbated by disease outbreaks and ongoing conflict.</p><p> </p><p><strong>POSITION PROFILE</strong></p><p><strong>Overall purpose of the role</strong>:</p><p> DRC is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to implement our strategic partnerships framework and systems at country level, with the objective of strengthening our current and future partnerships with national NGOs, community-based organizations, civil society, the private sector and research institutes. The partnership officer will map out and identify new partnership opportunities, assess partner organization capacities, facilitate relevant capacity strengthening support, ensure donor compliance in engaging in partnerships, and provide ongoing support, management and lead coordination to the partner organizations throughout and after project implementation. This role will be based in the DRC Kordofan Area Office and has responsibility to support partnerships across the Kordofan region, including projects in West, North, and South Kordofan.
