He or she will play a key role in representing SC in relevant networks and forums and engage in advocacy and dialogue with relevant education duty bearers and stakeholders at the region and district levels.</li></ul><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><p><strong>Program Implementation</strong></p><ul><li>With support from the Education Coordinator, develop, implement, and monitor quarterly, monthly, and weekly activity plans to achieve expected results. This includes planning of activities, budgets, and procurement. </li><li>Ensure that all planned activities are implemented on time, to quality measures and within budget as per the monthly plan. <p>Vacancy No: 222026<br>Section/Unit: Medical<br>Grade Level: Level 8<br>Supervisor: Nursing Activity Manager/ Project Medical Coordinator<br>No. of Post: 2<br>Duty Station: South Kordofan- Abu Jubayhah<br>Duration: 6 Months Fix Contract<br>Closing Date: 15 Sept 2026</p><h4>Background</h4><p>Plan, organize, and evaluate the activities concerning nursing and the team associated, according to <strong>MSF</strong> values, policies and protocols and universal health standards, in order to warrant the quality and continuity of the health care and the development of the plan of action.</p><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Carry out the functions and tasks associated to nursing i.e. perform as a nurse or anaesthetist, whenever required or needed, to optimize the resources, contributing with his/her knowledge and experience. </li><li>Implement all the protocols and hygiene procedures and supervise his/her team follow the same standards, to warrant the quality of the care and service in his/her speciality.</li><li>Organize and coordinate the activities of his/her team (week’s schedule, annual leave, absences, etc.), evaluate their performance and define and ensure the needs for training of staff, to ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality.</li><li>Carry out and/or supervise the (decentralized) pharmacy and medical equipment management (drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption, etc.) in his or her department, in order to satisfy the needs of material with efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Ensuring that all staff using medical devices are qualified and trained. Ensuring that cleaning and minor maintenance tasks are performed according to the protocols. Reporting any malfunction to the project biomedical service.</li><li>Carry-out and/or coordinate administrative (exit-paper, transfer-paper, etc.), information and data collection (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.) tasks, and elaborate regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about the day-to-day activity in the project, output/ outcome and support decision-taking.</li><li>Give feedback/ reports to medical focal point. </li></ul><p><strong>Quality of Care: </strong></p><ul><li>Supervise and coordinate smooth running of activities in the triage, Emergency room, Pediatric IPD and Mobile clinic</li><li>Provide clinical supervision of the paramedical staff managing severely ill patients presented in triage, ER and Pediatric IPD. (adequate immediate stabilization, adequate resuscitation practices, adequate monitoring of patients, adequate equipment for resuscitation and stabilization). </li><li>Ensure patients are prioritizing according to acuity, urgency and clinical needs.</li><li>Ensure appropriate documentation: registers are filled and done correctly; patients’ vital signs, interventions, treatments, patients file, Etc….</li><li>Ensure that the dignity and confidentiality of the patients and the caretakers is respected.</li><li>Conduct regular audits to assess nursing care practices, identify room for improvement, provide feedback and work on an action plan. </li><li>Promote team spirit, accountability of nurses and an effective collaboration of the nursing team with the clinicians on daily basis (handover, medical round, resuscitation practices, regular meeting, training in common.</li><li>Liaising the needs of the department to the Head Nurse.</li><li>Assist in bedside coaching and training of the nurses, nurse aide and nutrition assistant</li><li>Ensure and support correct waste segregation and disposal as per IPC protocol, in various units</li><li>Ensure compliance to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) procedures by all staff in triage, ER and IPD</li><li>Ensure and support correct usage of PPEs in various units according to IPC protocols by respecting standard precautions.</li><li>Participate in incident reporting, quality of improvement, audits and patient-safety initiatives.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Human Resources Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Support the learning and development of the paramedical team by identifying and providing training to nurses, nurse aides and nutrition assistants.</li><li>Ensure a good working relationship between all the staff in all the departments.</li><li>Ensure that the monthly duty rosters for the nurses and nurse aide are done and annual leaves are well planned. </li><li>Organize regular ward meetings and attend regular meetings within the medical department. </li></ul><p><strong>Material Resources Management: </strong></p><ul><li>Ensure daily check and inventory of biomed materials are done. Report any missing or faulty biomed to the biomed technician and NAM immediately</li><li>Ensure bi-weekly/monthly inventory of the pharmacy stock in each unit and with the composition of the pharmacy order. Report discrepancies in consumption to the NAM</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required</h4><p><strong>Education: </strong></p><p><strong> Essential: </strong>Diploma in nursing (or equivalent 3 years study) according to the country of origin, with a valid license.</p><p> <strong>Desirable</strong>: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and other specialties in nursing.</p><p><strong> Essential</strong>: Valid Nursing License issued by the Sudanese Medical Council.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Experience: </strong></p><p><strong> Essential:</strong> Minimum of 3 years demonstrated professional experience as a Nurse.
