Leading the implementation of the protocols and epidemiological methodology, ensuring all related staff follows them in order to improve research efficiency. </li><li>Supervising, according to annual plan, the epidemiological research activity ensuring that contacts with community groups and authorities are aligned with the objectives of the research and that the population participating in the research is properly informed. Reporting on the progress of data collection, on ongoing analysis of research or on any issue causing delay, in order to achieve epidemiological goals on time.</li><li>Advising the MSF medical team on epidemiological matters that arise in the course of their activity research, and when necessary, designing and implementing epidemiological tools and data collection to meet new epidemiological needs. </li><li>Ensuring, in coordination with logistics department, that national or international shipment of laboratory samples acquired for research purposes is done within datelines and according to protocols, following security rules and keeping conditions needed for the sample </li><li>Supervising data filing procedures, ensuring that all epidemiology software tools are properly used and are updated regularly, in order to ensure full data traceability and availability </li><li>Planning and supervising, in close coordination with the HR department and the MSF vision, policies and values, the associated processes (job description, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal/external communication) of the epidemiological staff in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required, to improve staff technical capabilities, contribution and commitment to <strong>MSF</strong> values. </li><li>Supervising, in close coordination with the Logistic Manager that research equipment and materials are properly maintained and stock level is above minimum point in order to ensure availability and research activity continuity. </li><li>Participating in operational monthly reports and organizing and/or assisting medical staff in preparing epidemiological reports related to health facilities and to researched areas.</li></ul><p><strong>General Objective:</strong></p><p> </p><p>The Mission Epidemiologist Activity Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of epidemiological activities across the mission. The role ensures the availability of high-quality data for operational decision-making, supports outbreak detection and response, strengthens surveillance systems, and contributes to evidence generation and capacity building in line with MSF principles.</p><p> </p><p><strong>1. <p>Vacancy No: 17415<br>Section/Unit: Program Operations<br>Grade Level: NAT 2<br>Supervisor: Director of Program Operations (DPO)<br>No. of Post: 1<br>Duty Station: North Kordofan<br>Duration: 12 Months<br>Closing Date: 06 Sept 2026</p><h4>Background</h4><p><strong>ROLE PURPOSE: </strong></p><p>The Program Manager will provide strategic, operational, and programmatic leadership for the implementation of Save the Children’s IFSAN-funded programme, <strong>Integrated malnutrition prevention and nutrition-sensitive livelihoods support for vulnerable households in North Kordofan and Central Darfur</strong>. The programme combines nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions, including Assida Plus, Assida MAM, iCCM+, community-based management of acute malnutrition, and nutrition-sensitive livelihoods support. </p><p>Based in North Kordofan, with regular travel to Central Darfur, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the timely, effective, high-quality, and compliant delivery of the programme across both implementation locations. Save the Children will lead implementation in North Kordofan and overall consortium coordination, while Acción Contra el Hambre (ACF) will lead implementation in Central Darfur, including the iCCM+ pilot and the first implementation of the Assida Plus approach by ACF. </p><p>The Program Manager will serve as the primary focal point for the day-to-day management of the programme and will ensure effective coordination between Save the Children and ACF. The role requires strong experience in managing international implementing partners, with the ability to monitor partner performance, maintain accountability for agreed deliverables, and facilitate effective technical and operational collaboration while respecting partnership principles.</p><p>Given the technical nature of the programme, the role requires a strong understanding of Health and Nutrition programming, particularly prevention and treatment of acute malnutrition, community-based nutrition approaches, and the integration of nutrition with livelihoods, health and WASH interventions. Previous experience with Save the Children programming is highly desirable, particularly familiarity with SC technical models, systems, programme quality standards and project management processes.</p><p>The post holder will work closely with Health and Nutrition technical specialists, FSL, MEAL, Supply Chain, Finance, Awards, Operations, research partners and field teams to ensure implementation quality, effective resource management and timely achievement of programme objectives.</p><p>The role will also lead and coordinate the programme’s research and learning component. In Sudan, UNEP implements environmental governance, climate resilience, natural resource management and recovery programmes in partnership with national, state and local authorities, communities, civil society organizations and development partners.</p><p>Dinder National Park is one of Sudan’s most important protected areas and supports significant biodiversity, wildlife habitats, seasonal wetlands, forests, rangelands and water systems. The park is also closely connected to the livelihoods and resource-use practices of communities in the surrounding areas of Sennar, Gedaref and Blue Nile states.</p><p>Climate change, land degradation, agricultural expansion, population displacement, weak natural resource governance and increasing demand for land, water, forest products and grazing resources have placed considerable pressure on the park and its surrounding landscapes. These pressures have contributed to the degradation of wildlife habitats, blockage and sedimentation of mayas and seasonal water channels, loss of vegetation cover, soil erosion, expansion of cultivation into ecologically sensitive areas, unsustainable use of forest resources, human–wildlife interactions and conflicts among farmers, pastoralists, communities and park authorities.</p><p>The conflict that began in April 2023 has further affected livelihoods, public infrastructure, markets, institutional capacities and access to natural resources. and Financial Stewardship:</strong></p><p> </p><p>• Provide financial oversight and technical support to consortium partners, subrecipients, and implementing partners involved in GFFO-funded projects.<br>• Review partner budgets, financial reports, forecasts, reconciliations, close-out documentation, and support records to ensure compliance and accuracy.<br>• Conduct or support partner financial capacity assessments and develop risk mitigation and capacity-strengthening plans.<br>• Build the capacity of finance, grants, program, and partner staff through training, coaching, tools, templates, guidance documents, and standard operating procedures.<br>• Represent the finance function in award management meetings, regional review forums, donor visits, monitoring missions, and coordination with Grants, Programs, Compliance, Procurement, HR, Operations, HQ, and external stakeholders.</p><p> </p><p> </p><h4>Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required</h4><p><strong>Education:</strong><br>• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.<br>• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent strongly preferred.<br>• Master's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline is an added advantage.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong><br>• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and grants management<br>• Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.<br>• Sound knowledge of donor compliance and grant financial management.<br>• Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency<br>• Ability to interpret donor regulations and provide operational guidance.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Desired:</strong></p><p><br>• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management of donor-funded <br>humanitarian and development programs.<br>• Demonstrated experience managing large and complex grants funded by institutional donors.<br>• Proven experience supporting multi-country, regional, or cross-border programs.<br>• Experience managing consortium or partnership funding arrangements and subawards.<br>• Strong familiarity with GFFO regulations and financial compliance requirements strongly preferred.<br>• Experience operating in
