Working in close collaboration with translators in order to ensure appropriate terminology and behavior during sessions.</strong></li><li><strong>Collecting statistical and monitoring data about mental health activities </strong></li><li><strong>Informing the supervisor and the medical team about any issues or problems that may arise related to patients’ treatment in order to provide the best possible solution from a medical perspective </strong></li><li><strong>Ensuring that all patient information is kept confidential.</strong></li><li><strong>Working under the direct supervision of the Mental Health Supervisor (MH Sup) and the technical guidance of the Mental Health Activity Manager (MHAM/PMR), in line with the Khartoum MHPSS strategy and MSF OCBA mental health guidelines.</strong></li><li><strong>Conducting individual, group and family counselling and psychotherapy sessions (including Problem Management Plus and Psychological First Aid) for patients presenting mild to moderate mental health conditions related to conflict, displacement and SGBV, in accordance with the inclusion/exclusion criteria defined in the project strategy.</strong></li><li><strong>Carrying out mental health assessments using standardized tools (e.g. CGI-S scale) to grade severity, define a treatment plan, and identify cases that must be excluded and referred (psychiatric emergencies, severe/chronic patients, substance abuse, personality or developmental disorders) according to the referral pathway.</strong></li><li><strong>Identifying and stabilizing psychiatric emergencies and life-threatening situations, ensuring immediate and safe referral to secondary-level facilities (e.g. Bashair Teaching Hospital, Al Anu Hospital) as per the SOP for psychiatric emergency referrals.</strong></li><li><strong>Implementing the SGBV protocol, providing MHPSS counselling to survivors and participating in binomial consultations with the medical department while respecting patients' autonomy and referring for medico-legal certification to a medical doctor as required.</strong></li><li><strong>Adapting and delivering MHPSS interventions for children and adolescents, using context-adapted, validated materials and community-based approaches.</strong></li><li><strong>Supporting the Mental Health Supervisor in training, coaching and technical supervision of MoH counsellors, community health workers and other health staff on MH identification, MHGAP/PFA principles and referral pathways, and collaborating closely with translators to ensure appropriate terminology and behaviour during sessions.</strong></li><li><strong>Providing Psychological First Aid and support to affected staff, relatives and the community in the event of a mass casualty incident, in line with the project's Mass Casualty Plan.</strong></li><li><strong>Collecting, recording and reporting mental health statistical and monitoring data using the standard MSF individual and group data collection forms of the HMIS, and maintaining confidentiality and custody of clinical files and the Golden Book according to MSF data protection procedures.</strong></li><li><strong>Contributing to the mapping and networking of MHPSS actors and referral partners and supporting the MHS/MHAM in keeping the referral system updated.</strong></li><li><strong>Informing the MHS and MHAM of any clinical, ethical or operational issues affecting patient care, and contributing to the periodic review of this strategy as a living document.</strong></li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required</h4><ul><li><strong>Essential: Bachelor’s degree in psychology.</strong></li><li><strong>Essential: Valid psychology registration/license from Sudanese National Council for Medical and Health Professions.</strong></li><li><strong>Minimum 2 years of work experience as a psychologist.</strong></li><li><strong>Desirable: Previous experience in INGO’s.</strong></li><li><strong>Demonstrated experience providing psychological assessment, counselling, and/or psychotherapy to individuals, families, or groups.</strong></li><li><strong>Desirable: Experience in trauma, conflict, displacement, SGBV, or other humanitarian-related mental health settings is highly desirable.</strong></li><li><strong>Desirable: Experience identifying psychiatric emergencies and making appropriate referrals is highly desirable.</strong></li><li><strong>Essential B1 Level English, with Native or near native Arabic Language proficiency.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Interested candidates are requested to submit their application to Khartoum State, Hac-Office in Khartoum, Almujahdeen Africa St, in a sealed envelope mentioning (MSF Spain – application for Psychologist - Job Summary: </strong></p><p>The <strong>Feedback and Accountability Mechanism Officer </strong>/Hotline Operator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of CARE’s toll-free and other feedback channels at the field office level. The post holder ensures communities, IDPs, and persons of concern have safe, confidential, and accessible means to provide feedback, ask questions, and raise complaints. The role functions in close collaboration with the Accountability Officer, MEAL team, and Program staff to uphold CARE’s Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) commitments.</p><p>Activities include receiving and registering all calls, ensuring ethical and professional caller engagement, maintaining the FAM database, referring cases for action, and contributing to reporting and learning on feedback trends. The Hotline Operator is also actively involved in FAM awareness, data quality checks, and documenting lessons learned from caller interactions.</p><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><p><strong>1- Operate and Manage the Toll-Free Hotline & Other FAM Channels:</strong></p><ul><li> Answer all incoming calls to the CARE toll-free hotline in a professional, ethical, and culturally sensitive manner, in line with CARE SOPs and Do No Harm principles. </li><li> Log, register, and categorize all feedback, complaints, queries, and expressions of gratitude accurately in the secure FAM database on the same day received. </li><li> Ensure confidentiality of caller information and consent for follow-up is obtained and always respected. </li><li>Support other FAM channels during distributions or field visits, as required: help desks, suggestion boxes, face-to-face.</li><li>Ensure all cases are closed within the appropriate timeframe and update case status in the database.</li></ul><p><strong>2- Referral, Follow-Up & Reporting:</strong></p><ul><li>Triage and refer program-specific complaints and sensitive cases, including GBV/PSEA, to the relevant CARE focal point, Program, or Senior Management immediately, following SOPs. </li><li>Provide weekly/monthly feedback and case status updates to callers after resolution. Since its establishment, COOPI has been undertaking activities to help and empower the poor and needy in different countries.
