The aim of Action against Hunger is to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable children, women, and men.</p><p>AAH Established in Sudan in 2018, AAH is currently assisting crisis – affected populations in <strong>Central Darfur, South Kordofan, Blue Nile and White Nile </strong>states of Sudan with emergency intervention and / or nutrition-sensitive integrated program. In South Kordofan and White Nile, Action against Hunger implementation partner is CAFA in White Nile and South Kordofan states and JMCO in Central Darfur.</p><p>While carrying out its activities, Action against Hunger (AAH) respects the 6 following principles:</p><p>Independence: Action Against Hunger acts according to its own principles to maintain its moral and financial independence. Action against Hunger's actions are not defined in terms of domestic or foreign policies nor in the interest of any particular government.</p><p>Neutrality: A victim is a victim. allocation and management of its funds.</p><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td><ul><li>Supervise and coordinate nutrition program to ensure effective implementation </li><li>Provide technical support to seconded staff at HFs levels and community health workers </li><li>Conduct regular monitoring to the HFs and conduct on the job training when needed </li><li>Select and establish IYCF counselors at the health facilities level and the community level.</li><li>Collect and compile monthly statistics reports and share with program manager .</li><li>Strengthening breast feeding corners (BFC) at targeted health facilities and diagnose difficulties of feeding for all PLWs coming for other services, for screening, and at the community.</li><li>Make sure that the health staff have adequate training on providing proper nutrition messages </li><li>Conduct formative assessment for key behaviors and skills for IYCF and develop culturally appropriate and effective IEC materials and adapt it to the day-to-day counseling.</li><li>Ensures the availability of job aids, reporting formats, and all other supplies at HFs .</li><li>Create and maintain relationships with locality base health system and other authorities and link the IYCF program with the existing health structure smoothly,</li><li>Works and liaise with any local health workers to integrate the IYCF program from the start,</li><li>Performs other related tasks as required and tasks assigned by the organization</li><li>Attend and participate in standard drug list based on set of health and nutrition protocols</li><li>Provide timely request order submission for food and non- food items, medications in collaboration </li><li>Ensure the proper utilization of food & non food items, drugs and therapeutic products according to the standard protocols in nutrition and health program.</li><li>Ensure proper stock management at field level for food, nonfood and medications and provide technical support to implementing partner to ensure the quality of stock management.</li><li>Provide adequate job aids, reporting and monitoring tools, guidelines for health facilities</li><li>Assess problems with facilities infrastructure and recommend solutions (Water, electric..)</li><li>Report timely any problem related to the supply chain and utilization of food, non-food and medications in nutrition program to the program manager.</li></ul><p><i><strong>Mission-3: To ensure that appropriate reporting system is in place</strong></i></p><p><i><strong>Tasks:</strong></i></p><ul><li>Make sure that Facility focal person are using standard reporting formats.</li><li>Make sure that daily, weekly and monthly record of beneficiaries (admissions, cured, defaulters, death, transfer, gain of weight, length of stay, etc) is in place and staff of nutrition program is able to fulfill efficiently.</li><li>Collection, compilation and analysis of the monthly reports from nutrition program (Screening and referral, OTP, SFP, IYCF, Stabilization centers, ICCM, MNH) and submission to the program Manager. </li></ul><p> S/He will be providing operational oversight for the logistic, Security, administrative and finance team. The FC will also work with the program and technical team to ensure proper planning and implementation of activities as per work plans and expenditure pipelines. The role ensures the safe, effective, and compliant procurement, storage, distribution, and use of medicines and medical supplies in line with national regulations, donor requirements, and International Medical Corps (IMC) standards. The senior mission pharmacist is to ensure that all medical supplies including pharmaceuticals, consumables, and equipment are made available to the appropriate IMC-supported facilities by coordinating with the different IMC departments – logistics, programs, and finance. This responsibility will entail knowledge in supply chain management and familiarity with the country’s pharmaceutical policies and regulations including importation regulations and IMC’s logistics
