The Social Worker is responsible for supporting SIF’s activities with orphaned children and vulnerable families, including identification, assessment, home visits, case follow-up, referrals, psychosocial support, and coordination with community structures and service providers.<br>The Social Worker ensures that orphans and their families receive appropriate support, referrals and follow-up, while maintaining confidentiality, safeguarding standards, accountability and respect for humanitarian principles. The role contributes to the wellbeing, dignity and protection of children and caregivers.</p><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><h2>Objective 1: Implementation of Project Activities</h2><ul><li>Identify orphaned children from vulnerable families according to programme criteria.</li><li>Identify guardians/mothers or 18+ orphan youth for livelihood support when relevant.</li><li>Conduct regular home visits to assess living conditions, family dynamics, child wellbeing, education status, health needs and protection concerns.</li><li>Develop and follow up <p>Section/Unit: Program<br>Grade Level: 9<br>Supervisor: Health & Nutrition Technical Coordinator<br>No. of Post: 1<br>Duty Station: Khartoum<br>Duration: 6 Months<br>Closing Date: 24 Sept 2026</p><h4>Background</h4><p><strong>1- Job Summary: </strong></p><p> </p><p>Under the direct supervision of the Health and Nutrition Technical Coordinator and the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies Manager is responsible for coordinating, defining, implementing, and providing the overall insight for pharmacy management in CARE International in Sudan. S/he will provide strategic direction and technical leadership of CARE’s pharmacy and nutrition supplies management in all CARE projects, ensuring standard pharmacy guidelines are implemented in all medical warehouses and strict measures are applied for effective stock management. </p><p> </p><p>The job holder will provide countrywide leadership and support in pharmaceuticals management including comprehensive, organized central support to Medical Logisticians at State level. The function will also explore and introduce innovative methods and arrangements for greater efficiency and value for money in all aspects of pharmaceutical management including forecasting and quantification through both national and international procurement of drugs, warehousing and until the drugs reach the end service point. S/he will ensure proper documentation and consumption records are maintained at health facilities, State level. S/he will work closely with Operations team to communicate needs in various field offices. However, the Manager is expected to spend 40% of his/her time in the field supporting pharmaceuticals and medical supplies management and therefore must be willing to travel to different project sites as required. </p><h4>Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required</h4><p><strong>Technical:</strong></p><ul><li>The ideal candidate will have a Pharmacy Degree-Essential. in order to ensure quality of care and safety of patients, caretakers and staff.</p><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Carry out the functions and tasks associated to infection prevention and control (IPC).</li><li>In collaboration with each service activity manager/supervisor, maintain and support the day-to-day implementation of infection prevention and control practices includes standard precautions and risk assessment in health structures in all departments, including sterilization, laundry and kitchen.</li><li>Based on a given patient diagnosis, collaborate with the medical Supporting the HP manager in organizing and carrying out assessments and research on the impact of HP activities and identifying and reporting the constraints, difficulties or strength points of the HP strategy inside and outside the medical structures in order to reinforce the link between the communities and the project </li><li>Providing support in selecting and developing quality pedagogical communication strategies towards the community. Unlike traditional project-based MEAL roles, the Consortium MEAL Officer's primary responsibility is to monitor and verify partner implementation, ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with approved proposals, consortium agreements, donor requirements, humanitarian standards, and organizational policies.</p><h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4><p><strong>1. Partner Monitoring and Grant Oversight (40%)</strong></p><p>The Consortium MEAL Officer will play a central role in ensuring that consortium partners deliver high-quality humanitarian interventions in accordance with approved proposals, consortium agreements, donor requirements, and humanitarian standards. Data Quality Assurance and Verification (20%)</strong></p><p>The Consortium MEAL Officer will ensure that all programme data reported by consortium partners is accurate, reliable, complete, and supported by verifiable evidence.
